Grant Writing

With over twenty years experience in business and more than six years as the Executive

Director of a non-profit organization, I am an experienced and skilled grant writer.   Grant

writing services include grant research, writing, and comprehensive step-by-step in-

structions for submitting.  My non-compete philosophy is that I will not take on multiple

clients in the same type of business at the same time, thus ensuring that my clients will

not be directly competing for the same grants.

proprietorships, for profit and not-for-profit.  Combining business skills with creative writing

Manuscript Review, Feedback, and Editing

All writers need feedback on their work.  Manuscript review, feedback, and editing services

are custom designed to meet the needs of the individual writer, to ensure that each writer

progresses with their craft and their writing projects.  Editing, review, and feedback can

be done on an hourly, per page, or full manuscript bases, including high-level input

and/or detailed editing, with a lot of written feedback and consultations (in-person or

virtual).

Coaching

As a writing coach, I work one-on-one with aspiring writers of all levels, assisting with

specific writing projects, providing detailed feedback, instruction, and tailored writing

exercises.    Coaching can be done at any point in the writing process but is often the most

beneficial when a writer is working on revision and developing later drafts of a manu-

script.  All coaching is done over the period of two or three months, based on a collection

of pages or full manuscript, and include detailed feedback, personalized suggestions and

writing instruction, and three consultations (in-person or virtual).

"Book Doctor" Services

Sometimes writers have a great story that they believe in and have worked hard on, developing

a draft.  But perhaps they need help in whipping the manuscript into shape, fixing problems

with plot and character development, fine tuning the elements of craft, and bringing it

to a final draft quality that will gain the attention of an agent or editor.  "Book Doctor"

services go a step beyond just feedback and editing, fixing the flow, the continuity,

and consistency, addressing big-picture issues, formatting, and story.

Ghostwriting

Do you have a story to tell?  Everyone does.  A family legend perhaps, or the family

genealogy.  A memoir of an important or interesting part of your life.  The history of your

business, experiences, family.  Whatever the story you have to tell, if you are not a writer,

I can help.  As a ghostwriter, I can turn your story, history, or memoir into a work of

creative non-fiction or fiction that will be interesting, entertaining, and perhaps even

publishable.  You provide the information, I'll write it, and suppliment with research material

if needed.  The finished manuscript will remain in your name and you will maintain full

rights and ownership of the material.

Writer's Services

Do you have works of fiction and non-fiction that you want to see published, but don't

know how to go about it?  Or maybe you know who you want to submit your work to

but don't have the time to write and send query letters, and track the submissions.  Or

do you already have a book that you need help marketing, lining up readings and signings,

getting reviews and press in the papers.  There is a lot of work involved with the business

end of being a writer and it takes a very different part of the brain than the creative work
