technical manuscripts include training manuals and software documentation.   Editing, proofreading, and
providing feedback for other writers, in a wide range of genres, as well as providing coaching to help other
writers advance their craft.

Business writing including press releases, business plans, sponsorship/donor packets and fundraising
case statements, executive bios, and copy writing for marketing materials.

Freelance grant writing including research, organization of grant information, and grant applications for
individuals and non-profit corporations with a focus and expertise in the arts.

Offering a variety of writing workshops in fiction and non-fiction, for all levels, as well as individual coaching,
manuscript review, and book-doctoring.

Significant achievements include:
  • Author and photographer of Daytrips Quebec, Hastings House Books, publication June 2006, including marketing book to bookstores
  • Co-author of A Group of One’s Own: Nurturing the Woman Writer, Story Line Press, August 2003 
  • Comprehensive marketing campaign for A Group of One’s Own including approximately fifty events across New England, development of a full press kit, radio interviews, and press releases
  • A monthly column for Our Times, a local woman’s news magazine, for two years
  • Freelance articles, on assignment, for the Portsmouth Herald and Hampton Union 
  • Collaboration to write, design, typeset, publish, and market an anthology, Journey of Words. 

1/03-9/10 Exeter Center for Creative Arts, Executive Director and Lead Art Teacher,                                               Exeter, NH

Responsibility for daily management of the non-profit art center, including budgeting, accounts receivable
and payable, marketing, and annual reporting, as well as grant research and writing. Other responsibilities
include developing class schedules, taking registrations, and liaison with community, as well as developing
course curriculum and teaching kids ages 3 through 12.  Supervising a team of five to twelve contract

            Software Operations Services, Hampton, NH

Responsible for all aspects of running the consulting business, including marketing, accounting, accounts
receivable and payable, and customer service.  Providing technical support, software development, problem
resolution, and project planning for extensive networks using Alpha and VAX OpenVMS servers.  Developed
technical documentation and training materials, and presented in-depth technical training.
